A pressure switch is an automatic control device used to monitor and control the pressure in a system.
A pressure switch consists of a pressure sensor, a mechanical or electronic switch, and a regulating circuit. It can be divided into mechanical pressure switches, electronic pressure switches, and digital induction pressure switches. When the pressure of the medium (gas or liquid) reaches a predetermined level, the pressure sensor will detect this change and activate the switch to open or close the circuit.
Pressure is usually measured in force per unit surface area and expressed as the value required to prevent the expansion of liquids, gases, or vapors. Various derived units are used to quantify pressure, including:
The ratio/correlation with Pascal (Pa) or 1 Newton per square meter (1 N/m2);The value in pounds per square inch (psi).
Classification of pressure switches
To distinguish the classification of pressure switches, we can make simple judgments based on their structure and application.
To determine whether it is a mechanical pressure switch, one can check whether there are mechanical components such as springs and levers inside, which are used to respond to pressure changes and are usually used for simpler applications.

Electronic pressure switches contain electronic sensors and microprocessors, providing higher accuracy and flexibility for complex control systems. The digital pressure switch has the function of digital display and multiple output options, making it easy to monitor and adjust.

Application of pressure switch
Including monitoring liquid and gas pressure in industrial automation to ensure safe operation of equipment. Control the pressure of heating and air conditioning systems in HVAC systems to achieve efficient performance. Monitor oil pressure and coolant temperature in the car to ensure vehicle safety and performance. In oil and gas, it is necessary to prevent leaks and explosions.
